Sustaining Progress
eircom agreed to pay the next phase of the Sustaining Progress due 1st November 2005 of 1.5%. 

The payment dates will be in November 2005 and are to be confirmed.

Allowances in the nature of pay will increase accordingly.

Motor Mileage and Subsistence Rates
Agreement was reached at the Joint Conciliation Council on 21st October 2005 on the review of Motor Mileage and Subsistence rates.

Mileage
As part of the discussions it has been agreed that the rates for the small and medium car category will be retained at their current level until further reviews result in an increase.  In the case of the larger car category, it has been agreed that the rates will be increased as follows-:

• Initial Usage 4.2% from 1st July 2005
• High Usage 3.5% from 1st July 2005

Subsistence
It has been agreed to increase all categories of subsistence by 3% from 1st July 2005.

A JCC Report on both reviews will follow with details of new rates etc.
