I attach for your information the determination issued by the Monitoring Group of the Collection and Delivery Agreement relating to the payment of the third phase of the productivity allowance which was accepted by the Executive Council at its meeting this week.

The Union welcomes the fact that the payment, with full retrospection, is now in sight and while not underestimating the level of work involved, is confident that with the full co-operation of all parties involved in the redesign process that the outstanding work at the offices concerned can be completed within the required timescale.

Further deferrals in the payment of this money would be unacceptable to the Union and it is
therefore essential that Branches at the offices concerned do all within their power to ensure that any delays or obstacles on our part to reaching final agreement on the redesigned working
arrangements are overcome.  Any delays or obstacles on the Company’s part which cannot be overcome at local level should be referred immediately to the Central Steering Group for
 resolution and with Union Headquarters being advised of the details accordingly. 

Both Joe Guinan and Sean McDonagh remain available to advise and assist Branches where
necessary.
