If you are/were a member of a Trade Union, at any time during the tax years 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and you have not been granted relief for subscriptions made, you can contact Revenue to claim tax credits Borders Midland West - Phone No. 1890 777425 (Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo, Mayo, Galway, Roscommon, Longford, Offaly, Cavan, Monaghan, Westmeath, Louth) South West - Phone No. 1890 222425 (Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Clare) East and South East – Phone No. 1890 444425 (Meath, Laois, Kildare, Wicklow, Tipperary, Waterford, Wexford, Carlow, Kilkenny) Dublin City and County - Phone No. 1890 333425 For example, if your PPS number is 1234567A and you want to claim a tax credit for trade union subscriptions simply text: CREDIT 1234567A UNION to 51829. There is no need to specify an amount as a standard €70 tax credit is granted to all successful claimants. You will receive text messages letting you know the progress of your claim. Once the claim has been successfully processed you will get a new Tax Credit Certificate in the post (it will be sent to the address we have for you). The claim may be subject to verification checks. |
