I wish to advise you in respect of a number of issues of importance to our members at An Post as follows:

Collection & Delivery
An Post has confirmed that our members will receive the second phase payment increase on the 12th October 2007, with the retrospection payment being made on the 19th October 2007.

Clerical & Admin
The Company has confirmed the second phase payment for staff comprehended by the Clerical & Admin Work Practice Change Agreement will be made on the 12th October 2007 with the retrospection being paid on the 19th October 2007.

Ancilliary Staff – the Provinces
The Union and the Company has confirmed agreement in respect of the LRC proposals for Ancillary Staff in the Provinces.  Arrangements are being made by the Company to make payment to the staff concerned which will be advised to you separately.

Managers Salary Review
The Union has submitted its claim in respect of the Managers Salary Review for our members across An Post and a response from the Company is awaited.

RWA Provincial Mail Centres
A meeting of the Automated Joint Steering Group will take place on Tuesday 23rd October 2007 in order to progress outstanding pay agreements for members in the Athlone, Cork and Portlaoise Mails Centres.

Clerical Residual Issues
As previously advised the Expert Group is to examine all of the outstanding Residual Clerical issues and I can confirm that a meeting with them will take place on the 16th October 2007.

Drug Refund Scheme
A Labour Court Hearing in respect of the Union’s claim for increases in the Drug Refund Scheme will take place on the 1st November 2007.
