Further to GS Circular 24/07 I wish to appraise you of the following:

LRC - Clerical Residual Issues
The Union and the Company met at the Labour Relations Commission today in an effort to progress a number of Clerical Residual Issues which were previously identified to you. It was agreed to adjourn to enable both parties to review progress. A further meeting will take place on Wednesday 8th August 2007.

Regional Structure - Collection and Delivery
Yesterday the Company outlined its intentions in respect of the closure of the Area Office Structure as provided for under Section 7.8 of the Clerical and Administrative Area Work Practice Change Agreement.

The Union has accepted in principle that Transport Work can be based at Sligo and Mullingar and Limerick to be the National RLB Centre. However, the implications for staff affected by these changes require further discussion.

The Company has undertaken to shortly advance detailed proposals for discussion with the Union and Branches will be advised of any further developments as soon as possible.
