The Union has agreed with the Company the following arrangements with regard to the delivery of the above postings. These arrangements are the same as those which were in place for the 2002 Senate Election.
It is anticipated that there will be in the region of 140,000 items for delivery nationwide by registered post. The items are expected in the DMC on Tuesday 19th June 2007 and are due for delivery from Monday, 25 June 2007. The following has been agreed for delivery of the items.
- The first 15 items should be absorbed at no cost.
- Each additional 4 items will be paid at a rate of 15 minutes overtime.
e.g. 1 item would attract no payment 2 items would attract no payment 3 items would attract 15 minutes overtime, etc - Only one attempt at delivery should be made in respect of these items. A docket should be left on the first attempted delivery and the items returned in due course if not collected.
- Local arrangements will be made for the processing of the items.
