I write to you on foot of the unfortunate news that has appeared in the media regarding O2’s plans to make 100 staff redundant on a compulsory basis.

This is clearly a very serious development.

I wish to assure you that the CWU is here to advise and guide you through this process and if you have any queries in relation this development do not hesitate to contact the undersigned.

I would hope that those staff who were unsure about the benefits of joining the Union will now realise that they are better off joining with the growing number of their colleagues who have already joined the CWU to ensure their rights are respected.

To that end I enclose an application form and I would ask that you invite a friend to join at this very important time in the development of O2.
