The CWU has launched a newsletter and survey aimed at all female members in the Union. The purpose of the document is get our female members to become involved and help the Union to drive the equality agenda as well as ensuring that women in the Union have a say on other Union activities.

It is hoped that the results of the survey will provide for the Union a better snapshot of the composition of our female membership and an increased awareness of the issues affecting them as female Trade Union members.

The CWU believes that the way forward is to maximise female involvement across all CWU structures and decision making bodies. This effectively means more women being active in the Union and also ensuring that female non-members are invited to join the CWU.
