Arrangements for delivery of election literature have been agreed with the Company which are as follows:

  1. One hour per 100 houses delivered to, per party:
    20-35 houses 15 minutes
    36-60 houses 30 minutes
    61-85 houses 45 minutes
    86-119 houses 60 minutes
  2. Local arrangements to be put in place to divide material on receipt
  3. Overtime arrangements as set out at (a), plus 8 ½ hour attendance on Saturday 12th May 2007 and 8½ hour attendance on Saturday 19th May 2007.  There will be no banking or pooling for hours for Saturday attendance.
  4. All delivery overtime scheduled during the election period 3rd May 2007 to 24th May 2007 is compulsory.
  5. Polling cards to be delivered, as available and as part of the overall arrangement.
  6. Each party posting must be delivered on the scheduled days.  If any party post portion of the material is late, this portion must be delivered on the “catch-up” day as scheduled.  Catch up days are 21st and 22nd of May 2007 – delivery dates for the Independents.
  7. Absence must be catered for by midnight staff, late duty staff or casual staff.
  8. Portion of the delivery overtime (one hour) can be rescheduled in advance of the normal attendance time.


POLLING CARDS

  1. To be delivered as they arrive
  2. Delivery of Polling Cards forms part of the overall Agreement and no additional overtime will be paid in this regard.
  3. Delivery of cards to be completed on or before Tuesday 22nd May 2007

The Political Parties have notified An Post that they expect to have the literature ready for delivery on the following dates:-

  • Green Party  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .   Wednesday 16th May and Thursday 17th May
  • Fianna Fail .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .   Friday 18th May and Saturday 19th May
  • Independents   .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  Monday 21st May and Tuesday 22nd May
