Attached for your information is a copy of the Company’s plans for Easter Bank Holiday arrangements for 2007. You will note that the Company will adhere to the same delivery arrangements that existed last year. 

Once again, in offices where there are no deliveries on Good Friday, the Company will not commit to an agreed level of overtime, for Tuesday 10th April 2007, but have confirmed that overtime payments will be based on volumes as per the Cessation of the Late Finish agreement.

Any problems with regard to Late Finishes on Tuesday 10th April 2007 should be dealt with by Branches under the Late Finish agreement.  Any difficulties that may arise should be notified to Union Headquarters.

Members are reminded that should the Company fail to allow sufficient resources to deal with heavy mails on Tuesday the 10th April 2007 there is no obligation on staff to carry the burden of these decisions.

Collection & Delivery - Easter Arrangements 2007

Holy Thursday 5th  April 2007

• Normal week-day Collection & Delivery Operational Arrangements apply
• Mails Distribution Network operates to the normal week-day schedule Thursday night / Friday morning
  

Good Friday 6th April 2007

Deliveries:

• Dublin - Full Delivery
• Provinces - Town Deliveries 
   

Collections:

• Dublin - Good Friday - former Bank Holiday type Collections (to be discussed locally)
• Provinces - No collections
• No outward despatches. The Mails Distribution Network will not operate.
  

Easter Saturday 7th April 2007

• Dublin: Normal Saturday Collections
• Provinces: Normal Saturday Collection & Despatch Arrangements (Preparation / Lock-up etc.)
• Some additional services may be required to ensure a Saturday clearance from all Company Offices.
  

Easter Sunday 8th April 2007 

• Dublin: No Collections AMU Services will operate. (Special Collections will operate as required).
  Provinces: No collections  

Easter Monday 9th April 2007

• Dublin:  No collections. AMU Services will operate. (Special Collections will operate as required). 
• Provinces:  No collections / despatches
• Mails Distribution Network will operate to the Sunday schedule, collecting Saturday despatches from lock-ups etc.
  

Easter Tuesday 10th April 2007

• Normal C&D Operational arrangements will apply.
  In the case of delivery routes which did not have a delivery on Good Friday overtime, where warranted, will be allowed based on management's assessment of the volumes on hands for delivery per route
